details		the “brooklyn icons” project is intended to honor notable residents of bedford-stuyvesant. there were 2 phases of the project that were awarded on a commission basis; i was one of 3 artists selected for phase 1, in which the design was to be made into a 20' tall “wallscape”; i was the sole artist awarded a commission for phase 2, in which the images were to be printed as street banners. they have been hanging on fulton street in brooklyn since 2008.
